What is ClinDraft?
ClinDraft is a clinical documentation and practice-management platform for mental health practitioners. It records therapy sessions, transcribes audio, drafts structured clinical notes for your review, and gives you forms, online booking, and team workflows in one place.

ClinDraft is designed for psychologists, counsellors, psychiatrists, social workers, and allied mental health professionals — solo practitioners through to multi-clinician practices.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — and it stays free. No credit card, no trial countdown. The free plan covers core practice management for one practitioner: up to 20 active contacts, 200 MB of document storage, 10 outbound emails per day (50 per month), 5 outbound SMS per month, online booking, and intake forms. Paid plans have unlimited daily emails and no monthly email or SMS caps. AI transcription and note generation are included on paid tiers.See full free-plan details
Does ClinDraft handle intake forms and consent?
Yes. Build custom intake, consent, and feedback forms with our form builder, or start from system templates (consent, intake) and customise them. Send forms to clients in one click — submissions auto-create or update contacts, populate placeholders with practice details, and produce a branded PDF for your records.
Can clients book appointments online?
Yes. Each practitioner has a public profile where clients can book directly using email OTP verification — no account needed for new clients. Returning clients can use OTP login to view availability and rebook themselves. You set business hours, slot duration, minimum advance notice, and a maximum number of future bookings per client.
How does ClinDraft handle patient data and security?
ClinDraft is HIPAA-aligned: field-level AES-256-GCM encryption at rest, TLS in transit, row-level access control, audit logs on every PHI table, automated 6-year retention for clinical notes, and crypto-shredding on account deletion.See the full safeguards and BAA status
What is your HIPAA status?
ClinDraft is HIPAA-aligned. We have implemented HIPAA-grade technical safeguards (encryption, access control, audit logs, retention, crypto-shredding) but are still finalising Business Associate Agreements with our subprocessors. How accurate is the AI transcription and note generation?
ClinDraft uses leading speech-to-text models tuned for clinical terminology. Generated notes are always presented for clinician review and approval before saving — the AI drafts, the clinician edits and signs off. You can switch the underlying note-generation model and customise templates per practitioner.
Can teams and clinics use ClinDraft?
Yes. Team plans support multiple clinicians, owner / practitioner / helpdesk roles, shared admin functions, and consolidated billing. Each clinician retains their own client book; team owners can optionally enable cross-practitioner booking and shared calendars.
Does ClinDraft work for international practitioners?
Yes. ClinDraft is available to mental health practitioners in any jurisdiction. Australian-specific features like Medicare and NDIS workflows are optional and can be switched off for international practices.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. Paid plans are month-to-month or annual, and you can cancel from the dashboard at any time. No lock-in contracts. Cancelling a paid plan returns your account to the free plan — your data remains.
